Welcome
I specialise in providing individual piano tuition for adults and teenagers from Beginner to Diploma level.
Lessons are available remotely, or in my home near Grassington, North Yorkshire.
Pupils enjoy playing a modern German upright by Blüthner.
My teaching aim is to cultivate and develop an enduring passion and curiosity for music-making built upon a strong pianistic technique and all-round musical proficiency.
I adopt a flexible approach which tailors lessons to meet the musical interests, needs, and goals of the individual. Every pupil enjoys a bespoke programme of study designed to stimulate and inspire, boost creativity and understanding, and foster personal growth and enrichment.
Many of my pupils gain a tremendous sense of motivation and achievement working toward ABRSM examinations, and have achieved success in a number of national music festivals. Those not interested in formal performances are equally welcome, and many mature pupils enjoy preparing the occasional informal performance for a friend or loved one.
